This is my online journal/commonplace book. I use to post things that interest me or things that I want to keep track of and go back read at another time. I am an "Infojunkie" (as my mother loving dubbed me), and this blog allows me to have an outlet for my infojunkie ways. :o)

perfect love
Perfect love is perfect self-forgetfulness. Hence where there is love in a home,
because you are…
Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you - not because they are nice, but because you are. ~Author Unknown

What does your connective tissue look like?
“Likely its pretty yucky if you’re talking about your flesh and blood connective tissue, but I’m referring to the other kind of connective tissue…”

The Physics of the Quest
quote from the movie ‘Eat, Pray, Love’….
In the end, I’ve come to believe in something I call "The Physics of the Quest." A force in nature governed by laws as real as the laws of gravity. The rule of Quest Physics goes something like this: If you’re brave enough to leave behind everything familiar and comforting, which can be anything from your house to bitter, old resentments, and set out on a truth-seeking journey, either externally or internally, and if you are truly willing to regard everything that happens to you on that journey as a clue and if you accept everyone you meet along the way as a teacher and if you are prepared, most of all, to face and forgive some very difficult realities about yourself, then the truth will not be withheld from you.

buttprints in the sand :o)
BUTTPRINTS IN THE SAND
One night I had a wondrous dream,
One set of footprints there were seen.
The footprints of my precious Lord,
But mine were not along the shore.
But then some stranger prints appeared,
And I asked the Lord, "What have we here?"
Those prints are large and round and neat,
But Lord, they are too big for feet.
My child, He said in somber tones,
For miles I carried you alone.
I challenged you to walk in faith,
But you refused and made me wait.
You disobeyed, you would not grow,
The walk of faith, you would not now.
So I got tired, I got fed up,
And there I dropped you, on your butt.
Because in life, there comes a time,
When men must fight and men must climb.
When men must rise and take a stand,
Or leave their buttprints in the sand.

power struggle vs problem solving
"If we're creating an atmosphere of power struggle, the kids will fight back to win. If we're creating an atmosphere of problem solving, the kids will feel part of the solution rather than part of the problem." —Joyce Fetteroll
