I like this song, my son Jordan shared it with me. This is the only video I could find for it.
PRODIGAL SON'S PRAYER
DIERKS BENTLEY
Father meet me with your arms wide open
The world's done broken your prodigal son
Down that road I traveled
Everything raveled only came undone
Father lead me down to the river
Wash me in the water 'til I'm whiter than snow
I know I'm not worthy
But tell me there's mercy for the wanderin' soul
I lost my way but now I'm on my knees
If it's not too late won't you tell me please
You gotta place for me
A little grace for me
Father meet me in the cool green valley
In all of your glory when my days are done
Name me as one of your chosen
Heaven's unbroken prodigal son
Father meet me with your arms wide open
Lead me down to the river
Meet me in the cool green valley
Name me one of your chosen
Heaven's unbroken prodigal son
This is my online journal/commonplace book. I use to post things that interest me or things that I want to keep track of and go back read at another time. I am an "Infojunkie" (as my mother loving dubbed me), and this blog allows me to have an outlet for my infojunkie ways. :o)

Sugarland - Stuck Like Glue WITH LYRICS (HQ sound)
Teacher quits school... sends this letter to the superintendent as to why she quit
"Real learning cannot be forced upon a person. Real learning is the result of an urgent need to know. It is the result of passion. Passions cannot be dictated by curriculum. Passions arise through a natural exploration and engagement with the world, through freedom, choice, and responsibility."

"The main concern expressed by most is the question of “socialization”. Doesn’t she need the socialization? This question strikes me as odd for several reasons. First of all, where do these people get the idea that socialization is something to be received only at school? Have we surrendered ourselves so fully to the authority of schools that we are unable to socialize our own children? Are we so busy being good consumers that we are too exhausted for social interaction outside of work and school?"
plans for the week....
School and Other Learning Opportunities:
1. it is harvesting school around here. Lots of tractor driving, cutting hay, raking hay, fixing broken stuff, servicing your machine, etc, etc.
2. reading in the evenings (after electronic entertainment time of course.... sigh)
3. discussions on various life topics (money management, time management, etc)
House and Extras:
1. I wish I could be like Samantha on Bewitched and wiggle my nose and all the house would be neat, tidy and organized.
2. Deliver meals to my grandparents in Red Deer on Friday.
3. Find something new to cook, I am pretty bored in the cooking department lately.
