This is my online journal/commonplace book. I use to post things that interest me or things that I want to keep track of and go back read at another time. I am an "Infojunkie" (as my mother loving dubbed me), and this blog allows me to have an outlet for my infojunkie ways. :o)

A discerning man keeps wisdom in view, but a fool's eyes wander to the ends of the earth. ~ Proverbs 17:24
“The particular Hebrew word translated as "discerning" in the verse is very common in the Tanak. It has the idea of considering a situation carefully, studying all the options, pondering possible courses of action, and then choosing the best course. By contrast, a fool pays no attention to anything around him but blithely lets his mind wander, and so stumbles from one predicament to another.”

Temple Grandin Seminar today
The Ranch took their crew of young workers (Jordan, Deanna, Josh, Johanna, Nicole and Denise) to a seminar (Understanding Cattle Behaviour to Improve Handling Importance of Reducing Stress During Handling)at the Olds College today – (http://www1.agric.gov.ab.ca/$department/EFE.nsf/all/DF6A9B1C5032CE8D872579210061A9E1/$file/FFGA-workshop.pdf). I can’t wait to hear how it went. This will be a great follow up from the “cattle whispering” course Wes did with them last year. Plus we watched the movie about Temple Grandin and today they will get to see her in person. So cool!
