a better way to love

A great podcast I listened to today – A BETTER WAY TO LOVE -

This is from the comment section of the website:

These days, it’s easy to confuse “passion for an issue” and “compassion for a person”. Here’s the difference for me:

When I care about an issue, the side I take matters.

When I care about a person, only the person matters.

Jesus came to redeem people, not argue the issues. As I walk with Him in this issue-laden culture, I have to remind myself of that.

love and understanding

On this day, God wants you to know

... that understanding comes from love. You might believe that you need to understand another to love them. The truth is you need to love them to understand them.

input

“You are the “input” in someone else’s life. Make sure your input is one to be proud of; we’re responsible for the impact we have on others.” --Dr. Caroline Leaf
