So here it is. It is a daily set of "appointments" to help motivate us in our day, to be pursuing a task and not wandering aimlessly. I am a time freak (one of my many wonderful personality traits.. LOL!), so I am thinking appointments could be a good thing to guide us. I can see a weight lifted from Jordan today as he needs a track to run on (rules).
Our Daily Appointments
9:00am Coffee and computer time
10:00am Bible
11:00am Math
12:00pm Lunch and chores
1:00pm Writing
2:00pm Home Management
3:00pm Tea Time
4:00pm Assigned Reading
5:00pm Dinner Prep.
6:00pm Supper / End of the day clean up
7 - 9pm 1. Finish appointments missed during the day,
2. Free time
10:00pm Power down / Bedtime routine
We will give it a trial run for the rest of the week (and maybe next week) and see how it fits. :o)

This looks great, Pam - like little 'checkpoints' throughout the day. ˚Ü˚
You are so right when you say "I am not a slave to the written schedule" .... the schedule is there to serve and aid you not the other way around. And, if the schedule isn't totally followed one day - oh, well ..... pick it up again the next day. ˚Ü˚
I think Jordan will do better with this too, he needs something to follow. I posted the appointments on the wall today and he asked what was at 4:00pm... so off he went to to do his assigned reading. Success! :o)
Josh is like that, too .... needs to know what is happening in his day.
So, how did it go the week? Were the appointments a success?
Well it has been a typical week at our house, things changing all the time. We did two regular days this week (Mon and Tues) and on those days it was good. But Wednesday was Mug Up and shopping, Thursday was work for Jordan and an outside class for Deanna. And so far today both kids are working.
I think the appointments will work excellent on those days we are home and available to focus on studies only.
