A prayer for today:

Dear Lord,

I will do many things today, and I’m bound to mess a bunch of it up.

Father, be my filter, sifting out things I’ve done or said that neither helped my neighbor nor advanced Your Kingdom.

And Lord, be an amplifier, cranking up the decibels on the things I do that might bring your glory.

I give this day to you.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Compassion "Lord, please clothe them with the virtue of compassion." Col. 3:12

Humility (Titus 3:2) Pray that God would cultivate humble hearts.

Perseverance " Lord, help my kids 'run with perseverance the race before them.'" Heb 12:1

Hope "God, may my children overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Rom15:13

Peace. "God, may my kids 'make every effort to do what leads to peace.'" (Rom. 14:19)

Kindness "Lord, may they 'always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else'" 1 Thess. 5:15

May they have strong, Biblical self-esteem rooted in the love of God. Eph 2:10

Respect (self, others) "May my children 'show proper respect to everyone" 1 Pt. 2:17a

Mercy. "May my children always 'be merciful, as [their] Father is merciful'" Lk 6:36

Justice " God, help my them to love mercy & 'act justly' in all they do" (Micah 6:8)

A love for God's Word. May they find it 'more precious than gold.' Ps 19:10

Self-control. God, help them be 'alert & self-controlled' in all they do. 1Thess 5:6

Honesty & Integrity-May they be our kids "virtue & their protection" Ps 25:21

Salvation. May they know the height & depth of His love. Isaiah 45:8

Joy "May my children be filled 'with the joy given by the Holy Spirit'" 1Thess 1:6

Missions "Lord may my kids desire to see your glory declared among the nations." Ps 96:3
