loved watching the video, and while I agree that we need to focus on the Messiah, I have to add that I think so many are so confused because they don't understand His role very well, they also don't fully grasp what Paul is teaching because they are reading His letters through modern western culture life instead of ancient eastern life. There is a really good teaching by Nehemiah Gordon, who doesn't believe that Yeshua was the Messiah, but the teaching is still very eye opening and explains very well, why Jews don't believe that Jesus was the Messiah. The name of the teaching is The Hebrew Yeshua vs. the Greek Jesus

Anyhow, all that to say, I think when we put our focus on Yeshua and what He told us to do, we will see that even He points back to Torah. Matt. 5:17. and John 14:15.
If we put our focus back on Yeshua our Messiah, than yes, I think our world would look very different. We would understand the severity of our sins even though they are wiped clean away by our Messiah!

Also, I was wondering what your thoughts were on Peter's dream?

As for the "be in the world but not of it"...these are the verses I found that say the same thing in my opinion...just different wording.

"Rather, you people are to be holy for me; because I, ADONAI, am holy; and I have set you apart from the other peoples, so that you can belong to me." Lev. 20:26

"For you are a people set apart as holy for ADONAI your God. ADONAI your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his own unique treasure." Deut. 7:6

"because you are a people set apart as holy for ADONAI your God. ADONAI your God has chosen you to be his own unique treasure out of all the peoples on the face of the earth. " Deut. 14:2

"On their behalf I am setting myself apart for holiness, so that they too may be set apart for holiness by means of the truth." John 17:19

"To: God's Messianic community in Corinth, consisting of those who have been set apart by Yeshua the Messiah and called to be God's holy people - along with everyone everywhere who calls on the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, their Lord as well as ours:" 1 Cor.1:2

"Some of you used to do these things. But you have cleansed yourselves, you have been set apart for God, you have come to be counted righteous through the power of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah and the Spirit of our God." 1 Cor 6:11

So to me this is saying pretty much the same thing as being in the world but we're to be set apart from the world so that we can be a light. The Torah talks about God setting apart His chosen people so that they can be salt/light to the nations.

Isaiah 49:6 CJB
he has said, "It is not enough that you are merely my servant to raise up the tribes of Ya'akov and restore the offspring of Isra'el. I will also make you a light to the nations, so my salvation can spread to the ends of the earth."

Some may argue that we are not Israelites, but Paul told us differently and so does Torah, "Israel" that came out of Egypt was a mixed multitude, not just the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Yet when YHVH gave the instructions to Moses at Sinai, it was for the whole congregation not just the bloodline of Abraham.
